Puppy & Dog Training Classes now available in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire on Saturday mornings.

A classic – the group class! A well-run training class makes all the difference to you and your dog’s life. Our puppy and dog training classes will take place in Mountsorrel War Memorial Fields Trust, next to the Leisure Centre on Saturday mornings!

These classes teach the essential life skills you and your dog need to know – all the favourites, Sit, Down, Heel, Recall, Wait/Stay, Leave it, Drop it – and more! Plus information and advice for dog and puppy life and care in general. A class is a great place to teach your dog to listen to you over other dogs and because these classes are held in local parks, you’re also teaching your dog to pay attention to you despite the children playing, bikes, joggers, scooters, other dogs – all the distracting things that make up park life! 

All classes teach essentially the same syllabus, with some changes to suit the age and experience of the dogs attending. Please book according to the age of your dog. To book your class simply pop us a message here or give us a call!

Puppy Training Adventure Class

Get ready for a fun and informative journey into the wonderful world of puppy training! It’s time to break free from the ring! This class will equip you with the knowledge and skills to raise a happy, well-behaved canine companion, all whilst walking and training around various locations in Mountsorrel. Our group learning experience will provide you and your furry friend with real-world situations to learn from. Join us on this puppy training adventure!

Next class starts: 6th April

  • Cool about town: Train focus, heel and loose-lead walking alongside bikes, cars, scooters, children – all the things you’d find on busy pavements to create a confident urban pup.

  • Control that impulse: Learn ‘Leave it’, ESSENTIAL impulse control for food found on the floor AND to prevent stealing in the home

  • Drop and Swap: One of the most important things to teach a curious puppy that puts everything in their mouths!

  • Park Playtime: Learn how to let your dog off lead with confidence in bustling parks, practising recall from other dogs, children and people

  • Real world ready: Teach your dog essential walking skills to make walkies fun and not a chore

  • Heel Hero: Master the art of your dog walking close by your side, perfect for focus in a variety of situations

  • Ready?Play!: Learn how to be the most fun playmate in your dog’s life, building a lasting bond that is central to training

  • Understanding Puppies: Each class includes advice and information about your puppy’s behaviour, how to navigate the first year of puppy life and help with any other challenges you may be having

  • And much more – all the things you need to survive puppyhood including fun trick training.

The Smart Dog Life: Beyond Beginners!

This intermediate dog training class is designed for pups (and owners!) who have mastered the fundamentals and are eager to tackle the next level. We’ll delve into the technical side of dog training, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to teach your furry friend fun tricks, refine existing commands, and build an even stronger bond through the joy of learning together.

Classes take place on Sunday’s at 10am at All Things K9 Secure Dog Field,Barrow Rd, Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough, LE12 8PN.

  • Lock down your training skills, proofing and advancing both you and your dog’s abilities – progressing the cues you already know to the next level

  • Fancy footwork: Learn the fun of heelwork, cultivating precision, speed and focus from your dog

  • Show off trick training: We’ll explore a variety of fun and challenging tricks that you and your dog can show off – Play Dead, Be a Bear, Bring Me The…., Touch and more!

  • Walk like a pro: We’ll workshop any niggling walking issues you have including pulling on lead towards other dogs

  • Get more from your dog: You’ll learn how to build routines of behaviour, encouraging your dog to work harder for you and with better results

  • The Science of Shaping Behaviour: Understand the psychology behind dog training and how to effectively communicate with your canine companion. We’ll explore positive reinforcement methods, shaping techniques, and clicker training.

  • Building Confidence and Connection: This class is about more than just tricks. We’ll focus on strengthening the bond between you and your dog through positive reinforcement, creating a fun and rewarding learning experience for both of you.
